Ref. 2006109 – Software Engineer Deadline for application: 2nd May 2006 Date of availability: 21st May 2006 Contact: jobs@criticalsoftware.com Description Critical Software, a software engineering company with a strong presence in the international markets and high growth profile looks for a Software Engineer to work in Lisbon, Portugal (Coimbra is also an alternative option). The candidate must be able to work independently, be autonomous, with minimal supervision. The position considers software development in C/C++ and Java technologies for Ground Segment projects in Space market (possibility on Galileo Ground Segment facilities). Responsibilities The activities to be performed correspond to the roles of a Project Engineer that is to participate in all software development phases: requirements, design, coding and testing;   Qualifications and Experience Engineering academic degree or relevant professional experience. Very good technology skills across application software (including OOP) and UML. Knowledge in C/C++ programming for the Unix/Linux environment (at least 2 years of experience). Experience in CORBA, TCP/IP, SNMP or TCL would be an advantage. Knowledge of software development practices and/or of space systems would be an advantage. Know how in design patterns would be an advantage. Good documentation skills and master of the English language (oral and written).
